So, 4 Wochen sind um und es wird Zeit für einen Wechsel. Der Flughafen Split SPU ist sehr überschaubar. Es gibt keine Finger, man läuft wohl immer zum Flieger. Online einchecken hat nicht geklappt. Ich wurde von der LH app auf die Aiportseite geleitet, leider hat EN nicht wirklich Englisch angezeigt. Beim einchecken ist keine Airline angeschrieben, es wird nach Klasse eingecheckt. Da Business gebucht, durfte ich in die Lounge. Nicht besonderes, aber gemütliche Sitze und freie Getränke! Blick auf die Passkontrolle, man kann also abschätzen wie lange es nachher dauern wird!
As an airport it was good. But the toilets!!!!! 🙄!!! You long for Sweden when it comes to toilets 😁. At Split airport, there are no tissues and paper towels either. Instead, expect to turn on the heat dryer which is the worst thing you can think of if you want to dry your hands after a visit to the toilet, especially when it's 36 degrees and the sweat is running down your face 😁
I don’t think I’ve ever been to a country with such bad airports. The lack of shops or at least restaurants/cafes is baffling. There’s only 1 cafe and 1 restaurant. You’d think they’d use the opportunity to make €s but no.Incredibly depressing airport that looks modern but has no facilities.
I was impressed how compact the airport is, less walking, yet modern and comfortable
Have been multiple times at Split Airport, very satisfied with everything they do and have, especially lately with all the upgrades they have made, but mostly in love with Divulje beach that is very near the airport parkings
Very clean and tidy.The toilet is neat and clean, as is the baby changing room.The staff is very friendly and accommodating
The new building was a great success. Short distances, reasonable staff. Before, everything was a bit chaotic, but charming. Now it has become much more professional, you can get through all the checks quickly and overall things are going quite well.Only the staff at the security checks could be a little friendlier and sometimes seem slightly confused.Otherwise reasonable. Kiss & Fly parking lot is kept closed almost all the time, for whatever reason. Just go straight to the large parking lot at the back.Lounge access is virtually impossible and is made particularly exclusive - for whatever reason.
Small, crowded after the security, very few services and shops that you get bored of fast. Prepare for long lines at the bar for a bottle of water and at the ladies' room (toilet) as well.Nonetheless, baggage drop off and security were borh super fast, and there are a lot of seats at the gates, never an issue to find one free!
Very clean and tidy modern airport. Lovely flight over the old town of Trogir on the approach to the airport.Really easy airport to use. No delays. Quite literally straight off the plane, through immigration control, collected our bags and then into the main terminal. Everything is well signposted, including the hire car hall.All-in-all very good. Limited facilities but when you're arriving what do you really need?
Beautiful destination! The airport is quite small but very clean and tidy. There are plenty of food and drink places, a couple of shops and toilets. Staff are really friendly and helpful. It’s a comfy airport considering the size. Highly recommend a holiday here. The scenery is stunning and when you come into land, the landscape is breath taking.
This airport is very clean, small, and easy. The scanning boarding system is wonderful. There is sometimes traffic to get here from Split but it was an easy drive from Trogir. The bathrooms were very well maintained and there are plenty of outlets as well as one small place for food in the main terminal.
Small and not so busy airport. A bit far from split about 25-30min drive from old town depending on when u leave, rush hours could be longer. Things are quite expensive to buy, 3 to 5 times more expensive compared to old town prices. Not many options for food. Its a very basic no frills airport. At least the flights were on time for us.
Not too big but nice, clean and easy to find because all signage is clear.We rented car, so it’s also easy to find and park.From arrival terminal is easy to take a bus too.Parking is also in order, parking machines are many. Toilets are clean.So far, both arrival and departure terminals are great.
A sleek and quite pleasant airport! Never in a million years thought I would get to use "pleasant" and "airport" in one sentence. Sparkling clean, not too crowded, lines are short, plenty of bathrooms, duty free and souvenir shops are great. The building of the airport appears to be brand new, with its sleek and modern "glass and steel" design. Please keep it up, Split Airport!
Check in was smooth and fast at one of the many 'all airlines' desks. Security was quick and efficient. And beautiful wood architecture inside.Edit down to 4 stars: bags got lost, I wonder if it had to do with this 'all airlines' check in, but I think more likely because I had 4 connections.
Modern and efficient terminal. Restaurant on first floor before security, one cafe bar overlooking the sea after that but before passport control and then a duty free shop and three coffee/snack bars by the gates. Plenty of toilets and seating. I found the whole experience very stress free. We travelled at the end of August.
Average airport. It’s new, modern but lacks any good food options. A couple of small sandwich bars and a large, expensive, duty free.Bring some snacks with you would be my advice.Check-in process was smooth with all available desks open, likewise, so was security.Plenty of seats and good Wi-Fi. Other than that, one to forget.
the airport is clean and original. it's design is modern and the view is charming.but it's quite small and have one kiosk with expensive drinks and snacks inside (a bottle of water ~4€). in addition, there is quite large duty free shop with souvenirs.and what is more, you can't check-in online. it is only possible to do it on the spot before the flight.
Very nice airport, architecturally, but there are little to no places to sit upon entering into the massive and impressive reception/ticketing area. After passing through security, the waiting areas for the gates are TINY and get VERY crowded. The food options are quite scarce too.
What a fantastic modern, efficient airport! Arrivals were a slick operation compared to all UK airports, and departures check-in and security we're great. The only caveat is that the only restaurant is land-side - so when departing, once you've been through security there's only a single (very overpriced) bar /snack counter.
The airport is very modern being only a few years old, and while it is quite small (10 or so gates), it is very clean and efficient. Lines and waiting are minimal. The staff working there are also very helpful, although it is a bit different because the agents are all working for the airport and not for the different airlines. All agents check in all flights. On the down side they don't have jetways so you need to use stairs to board or deplane, plus a very short walk to the terminal.If you are looking for lounges and shipping, maybe this isn't the airport for you. But for easy, simple travel it is great.
Really good looking, clean and fairly small airport, which works nicely.Bag drop is the first thing you see when you enter the airport and from there you can't get lost on your way to security check.Only downside, there's only one little kiosk where you can get water, sodas etc. after you've cleared security -> take an empty water battle with you through security if you wanna drink water before boarding.
Plenty of space, clean but lacking in food and sitting for that many international flights. After passport control only 2 small booths with pre made dry sandwiches (4 types). Very hard to find place to sit while eating this exquisite meal
The new airport is a great improvement on the cramped little place that we used to have to use up to 3 years ago.Calm, clean, well managed, everything that you need when starting or ending your holiday, even though it was busy. Plenty of places to sit. We checked in our suitcases, then sat on the upper floor overlooking the runway and ate our lunch (brought it with us as cafe prices are expensive) before going through security.Can't wait to return in September.
Quick and efficient airport. We were checked-in nice and early, through security in no time. On both arrival and departure we were waiting around for no more than 20 minutes for passport/baggage etc.Our flight was on time however on departure there did seem to be a large amount of delayed flights, not sure if that is a wider issue at the moment or an issue with Split.The airport is very small and lacks any real substance. A small duty free and 3 cafe style bars are all you will have to choose from. Typical airport prices, £3 for a water etc.
What a wonderful experience after the disaster of Dublin Airport last week.2 hour delay to check in followed by a 90 min delay through security. The worst ever.However Split was amazing. You can check in at any of the desks instead of dedicated desks. Passport control and security was flawless. Just a few minutes at each.The airport itself is very modern and new. Very clean.The only downside was the price at the cafe in side the international departure lounge. Also the prices of alcohol in the Duty Free were no cheaper than UK or Irish supermarkets.
