Das Tamnanthai ist schwer zu finden, da es von der Straße aus nicht zu sehen ist, es liegt hinter einem Tattoo-Studio. Wenn man es dann aber mal gefunden hat entschädigt das gute Essen für die Mühen. Die Bedienung (und wohl auch die Besitzerin) hat immer ein paar gute Recomendations parat denen man folgen sollte, wenn man nicht schon was spezielles im Auge hat. Dieses mal gab es Tom Yum Goong in der Edelvariante mit einem großem Riverprawn, äußerst lecker. Tom Yum gehört zu meinen Lieblingsgerichten und ich probiere das fast überall. Hier einmal mit Coconut als Einlage. Es hätte vlt. etwas schärfer sein können, aber ich hätte ja auch nachschärfen können ;). Das Traft-Beer war auch sehr gut (mit Blue-Moon kann man eigentlich nix falsch machen). Als Nachspeise gab noch ein kleines Apfelküchlein.
The service staff are friendly.The kids love the pork rice. And soft-boiled eggs. Tom Yum Soup tastes great.Is the other white one a crispy rice cake? So crispy and fragrant. It's even more delicious when paired with sauce.For dessert, the waiter recommends mango sticky rice

We went to this restaurant last night, excellent food, excellent service, excellent pad Thai for both meat and fish, all the other dishes were also excellent, very kind staff, we will be back soon
The crispy pork is a must try and som tham is also good. But too noisy when crowded.
The food looked good but the poor service made me give only one star. I left after asking 3 times for service without eating or drinking.
Great crab fried rice and fried sea bass. The Massaman beef curry we also beautiful.
We have been here twice and each time has been super. Possibly the best Thai food we have had and we tried lots of appetisers and mains, all excellent. The mango sticky rice dessert was delicious. We will be back!
the best authentic Thai Cuisine with the best service and foods! it has very clean and organized dining with several famous dishes. you can find the inside parking lot and building. hidden gems!
A well presented and fairly tasty Thai place that caters well to tourists.I had the fishcakes and the pad thai. Both were pretty good but nothing special.It's a nice restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff.A good place to go if you are new to Thai food or Asia. But not really for someone who is used to Asian food and wants something special or unique.
This was my first meal in Thailand and it is going to be hard to beat!!!! Just outstanding quality and taste. I was dreaming about coming back to this restaurant before even finishing my meal.Great and friendly service too. Can’t wait to go back! (Bonus - there is AC!)
It is one of the best Thai food restaurants in the area. It is quite hidden, but so worth to go there. Thai dishes tasted very authentic and fresh. I have not had such Thai food for some time. All dishes we tried were amazing! Fully recommended!
Our family just arrived in Bangkok and it was raining heavily. Came across this lovely restaurant close by our hotel. What a great found indeed. All food were delicious and everyone was very friendly. We will definitely come back for more. The highlight for us was the Tom Yum soup and crispy pork and morning glory dish.
A nice cozy place with an amazing food and quick service, hidden from tourists’ eyes. We were just looking on google maps for a place with authentic Thai food were lucky to find this restaurant. To be honest the location is not really obvious that’s why i am not sure that they have random guests but it’s even for good.The lady who served us was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, portions were bog. And the place itself was amazing. Will be glad to come again during our next trip to Thailand
Nice to have stumbled across this place when staying across the road at the Novotel. It’s a family owned traditional Thai restaurant, with dishes that seem to specialise in seafood. Really worth the visit - service was efficient, options plentiful and food delicious. Quite decent prices too.
The food was excellent. Some of our favorites were the fried fish with garlic, crispy pork and chicken satay. The mango and sticky rice was delicious as well.The restaurant is away from the busy street, it’s very quiet and pleasant. Service was great, the restaurant is family owned and they genuinely care about the quality of food and service.
The restaurant is located at a somewhat peculiar place hidden behind the tattoo shop. But once you are there, you will be happy to have found it!The food is really nice and the family run place has a great atmosphere. We had the fish cookies and spring rolls as a starter, absolutely delicious. Everything after that was great too, from the curries to the broccoli (cooked firm to the bite). And the mango sticky rice as a dessert, try it yourself!
This is a Thai food oasis in a place largely catering alcohol and other vices to western tourists. Completely obscured by California Tattoo, the restaurant is not easy to locate. I chanced upon it when I was looking for a quiet family place three months back.I got more than I bargained. The food was exceptionally tasty. I am told that the recipes were prepared by the matriarch, who is all of 71 and still helps out in the kitchen. This time I got more adventurous and tried out four different dishes. All were equally good. I strongly recommend that you give this place a chance if you are in the neighborhood.
Amazing place! We went here on our last night in Bangkok and it was some of the best Thai food we have had in Thailand across several trips. The lady serving us was awesome, super friendly and very helpful.Coconut ice cream and mango sticky rice was a highlight for us. Everything was fresh and straight from the kitchen. Will definitely return if we find ourselves in Bangkok again!
I'm born and grew up in Thailand and took my husband to be to this restaurant. The food is genuinely excellent and they deserve more custom - highly recommend the fried fish, winged bean salad and curries. Some of the best I've had. The restaurant is behind the California Tattoo Parlour in a nice secluded corner of the road, and is nice to get away from the busy roads.
Authentic is not a joke. We’d been craving fresh, true Thai cuisine since arriving to Bangkok and finally found it at this family run restaurant.Highly recommend the morning glory, prawn curry, seafood Tom yum, and fried Seabass with mango and cashew nut. Already planning my next visit!
All food is very tasty! Perfect coconut ice-cream and shrimps with garlic. The staff is very friendly and caring. You can immediately feel the great attitude towards the guests. I really recommend this place!

The taste is good. I like many dishes that are simple but delicious like fried prawn with garlic. The owner and her family are very kind with good service mind. Always come here with my boyfriend when we wanna eat Thai foods. Price is also reasonable.
