the food was just terrible. we ordered the nachos and the deep fried tempura prawns with mango. the nachos was bland and was already soft and soggy when it reached our table. the fried prawns just did not taste nice at all. drinks were okay, service was good, atmosphere was decent.
December 2023…I ordered a 🍔 with 🍟 including mayonnaise to go. 10-15min. I got a nice, simple paper bag. The burger was specially packaged in there and so were the fries. I then paid around €10.00 and looked forward to the food.BUT... unfortunately I couldn't find a dip for the fries in the app... 😞 It's a shame, but ok... I still have the burger. Ok.. not quite like the photo but whatever... until I took the first bite... 😳😣. It tasted strange... yes... the meat was completely cooked through... and when I saw the underside of the meat... it was really black. Unfortunately, I can't eat a burger like that (which rarely happens for me). So then it's better to have a burger from...
I recently visited Gravy Baby restaurant in Kuala Lumpur for lunch, and the experience was delightful. The meat pie I ordered was truly amazing, with rich flavors and a perfect balance of ingredients. My kids particularly loved the food, and they couldn't get enough of it. To top it off, the excellent apple pie with vanilla gravy was a delightful surprise, adding a sweet note to the meal.In addition to the fantastic food, Gravy Baby's location adds to the overall charm of the dining experience. Situated in a buzzing area of Kuala Lumpur, the restaurant exudes a vibrant atmosphere. The lively surroundings enhanced the enjoyment of the meal for both adults and kids, creating a perfect blend of great food and a lively ambiance. The staff's attentiveness and the buzzing locale make Gravy Baby a must-visit for families looking to indulge in a memorable dining experience in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The highly motivated staff created a memorable event for us. Thank you!
Speaking for nighttime drinks specifically as this is what our group came for - didn't order any foodWas a great environment - lively, friendly, and at the same time relaxed. A difficult balance to strike, but it's achieved because the team are so skilled and welcoming and there's plenty of space to move about. Service was quick and kind, and prices are very fair.Particularly appreciated how much effort the host put into helping us find the large group already there that we were joining - all while the venue was quite busy and this was no easy task.Definitely a great spot for a chill to low/medium rowdy night out being social with friends.
On a street with a good selection of bars but this one also serves food with a large selection of bar type meals. Burgers, pizza, tacos etc etc. Drinks selection is larger than others too. Waiters will do their best to upsell drinks. Street can get quite busy and noisy depending on day / time you are here. Carribbean punch is good.
Service staff sleeping on the job. Got so many things wrong, terrible experience from the get go. I have never been to gravy baby, this is my first time as I never felt the inkling to go, i guess my gut feel was right. Restaurant was pretty much empty when we came for brunch but it was hard to get their attention to place our orders. Mediocre food (fries tasted like cheap plastic, wrong gravy poured onto my pie and was asked if I was willing to take it none of the food items were fresh), terrible service, yes I know this is minor but things just accumulate - I asked for my coffee to be served in a takeaway cup but came in a glass. Asked which is the best pie and the staff answered all are good, then I asked whats the most famous which was responded by all are famous. WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THISTrain your staff and chef, you are in the service industry, dont charge service fee if youre not providing service. First and last visit, period.I enclosed a picture of my iced latte, does that look drinkable? Too much ice. Sigh terrible.
Nice place - large and decorated to a good standard. Lots of staff available on our visit here (late in a Thursday night). Food is slightly on the expensive side, but everything that arrived at our table was of good quality and cooked too ok a good standard. Drinks were good and again slightly in the higher end of the price spectrum. Interesting remixes of well known songs / music (if slightly too loud but not oppressive). All in all an enjoyable experience. Worth a visit if you’re in the area - if only to read the witty signage that’s posted throughout.
I had afternoon tea, Hong Kong style, here at dolly dim sum. Not easy to find but managed to locate it after asking around. Not a really big restaurant but it was rather empty when I visited. Most probably it hasn’t reach dinner time yet.I ordered the jasmine tea, siew Mai and beef balls and I was rather full since I had a late lunch earlier. I was awed by the taste of their beef balls with a tinge of lemon grass. Texture on the beef balls were good and similar to those found in Hong Kong, bouncy and juicy. Siew mai was above average.Take note that this restaurant serves halal food and the absence of a particular ingredient is not missed.Good price as well in view of the quality of the food served!
I eat at Gravy baby's with my family on Tuesdays because they have a good 2 for 1 steak deal. Steaks are great. Definitely recommend the mashed potatoes or chips as a side for the steak. Onion rings aren't good, but Buffalo Wings and Cheesy Fries are amazing. Ambience is even better. Definitely recommend bringing your family or friends.
Superb interior and excellent seating facility! A goto place for the party goers. Quality of food is good (can be improved further). Price of food and liquor is reasonable. The only drawback is car parking facility nearby. Paid parking facilities or valet services near to this restaurant during weekend is usually occupied.
One of my favorite places for drinks! The decor/lighting is really nice and trendy. Changkat Gravy Baby is by far my favorite Gravy Baby location- the others are more targeted for dinner whereas this one has more of a night scene. With upbeat music, a beer pong table, a pool table and a large screen for showing football matches. The drinks are more on the pricey side but there is a deal of 3 cocktails for 99rm which I would say is reasonable as the vibe is superb.I haven’t had the food specifically at the Changkat location but the burgers in the Damansara location are amazing!
A wonderful place to hang out. Best thing is that it opens pretty early and closes after midnight. Food is awesome and staff is courteous. At times you will get one meal completely free if you choose from their selected item of dishes. Portions are large and may be too good if you are alone. Ambience is very good.
