Heute mal etwas abseits meiner normalen Pfade.

Noticable why they are Michelin approved. We had a Pho, Curry and appetiser platter. All great.

Nice pho. I enjoyed both the chicken noodle soup, the chicken pho and also their beef pho. It was actually kinda special. Good flavor, good portion of meat, and a nice dining environment. This place is special. I’ll definitely comeback here. It’s a nice place.

Best meal we had in KLWe went for 3 dishes and 1 rice for two of us which was a good amount of food and trying different flavoursExpensive but worth it, would've paid a lot more in different cities for a meal of this quality

We like Sichuan food and this place in Jalan Alor serves good dishes (毛血旺, 水饺,剁椒鱼头=maoxuewang, dumplings and chopped chili steamed fish head), even if the photos of the two last dishes I took may not look as appealing. The few times we eat there, the other customers are Chinese people from mainland China.

First Michelin experience in Malaysia… there are few paid parking lots charging from RM 10-13, but we happened to park at the big parking RM 13, walked about 5-8 min to reach the restaurant. The food portion is big to share😊 we tried a few dishes and end with mango in rum which is a very interesting dessert, mango in fire which taste a bit sweet and savoring sour. Generally the food combination is very new and amazing! We had good time enjoying each signature dish and the fun being surprised by the presentation and the idea behind each dish. Ideal for elderly as they are not oily or MSG. Definitely would go back again for other Vietnamese dishes. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Nice rustic interior with lots of communist memorabilia on the walls.Outdoor seating available - two tables but rather hot and also a issue when it rains albeit there is a retractable marque.Had the Vietnamese drip coffee- was too sweet. The mixed platter starter of 4 items- a leaf rolls and rice paper wrap and a chicken meat around a sugar cane stick. The rice paper is weak was nice. The lead roll meet quality was subpar. The dragon fruit salad with beef shreds and desiccated coconut was excellent. The mains of aubergine- ok: 5 piece which as little for the price. The duck with tamarind sauce was good but the beef stew was disappointing. Tried ordering the duck with tamarind but they had run out of breast meat- disappointing! The Creme caramel desert was very good.Food all in all was good& and service was ok.

I am not a fan of vietnamese food but this really make my tables turn. I so love the food here, everything that we ordered here were just right for our taste buds. A bit pricey but its really worth it and good for sharing. We will definitely be back and try other food. Highly recommended the food that we ordered: mangosteen and prawn salad, beef in bamboo with the rice paper, vietnamese curry and chiku smoothie.Staff was accommodating and explained how to do and what to do with rice paper 😊

Did not make a reservation but was lucky to get a table when we walked in at 7pm - the only table not yet reserved. The table was outdoors and it was nice sitting outdoors just after a heavy rain.Food was good although for 2 diners only and after a heavy lunch, we could not order much.We had the combo starter which was ideal as we get to try 4 starters. All were done nicely. We then had 2 mains, the duck in tamarind sauce and grilled fish wrapped with pate. The sauces in each were too much especially the duck tamarind sauce will overpower the duck meatiness. See the difference in the picture in the menu with what we had.Better the 2 the fish is a must try.Lastly we wanted to try the desserts but was told by the waiter they had run out.Would make another visit to try the beef pho and desserts.

Halal: YesAmbience: Quaint, cosy and a glimpse of Vietnam in Malaysia. It's not a big place so best to reserve a table before coming.Food: This is the first Vietnamese place in Malaysia that leaves me wanting to come back. Their omelette is quite unusual, tastes like love letters.Service: Pretty good but suggest to hire one more waiter during peak periods.

I came here to have a lovely lunch with my friend because I was craving Vietnamese food. I came with no expectations other than to just eat the food and I can honestly say that I enjoyed every bit of it.We ordered quite an amount and the server said what we had in the list is enough but we told him, we can still eat more ☺️ We ordered pomelo salad, all vege spring rolls, sky Flower (special menu), grilled fish pate, vermicelli noodle and mine was the beef pho (I forgot to take a photo cuz I was so hungry d).Food & Price 👍👍👍 it's at mid-range but not for all. They have variety of food in their menu and lots to choose from. We ended up paying by cash instead of card due to the eatigo discount - always prepared just in case. The ambience was dim and yes, it feels like you're in any local Vietnam town stalls but the vibe of the place is quaint and quiet. We do see a few times the staff was not wearing face masks but our food was served to us with one of them wearing face mask.Overall, this is a decent food experience that I don't mind coming back for more. Thank you for the service 😊

We wanted to try out vietnamese cuisine and we found that this restaurant served decent food.Although the restaurant was established long ago, but we obviously unknowing and hv been missing out the good food.We wanted to try out almost everything, no doubt all are generally excellent in taste. We had the tamarind duck, crispy pancake, fresh spring roll, dried beef papaya salad, and not forgetting the pho..all turned out surprisingly well. Worth the visit

Nice environment, the interior decorations is unique. Sao Nam located at a quietly street near to Jalan Alor. You will feel like you are in Vietnam when you enter the restaurant.Chicken spring rolls is really good, highly recommended. But fish noodle soup is not up to my expectation as they using frozen dory fish fillet instead of fresh fish fillet. The soup is nice but the fish doesn’t smell good. I hope they can improve on this.During my visit, most of the staffs were not wearing a mask, I hope they can wear a mask when they walk around in the restaurant like taking order or making beverage as covid cases still high and this is to ensure the safety of everyone in the restaurant.
