Im Somboon im Central Embassy war ich jetzt schon länger nicht mehr. War früher im das Restaurant für Crab, aber seit es den Ministery of Crab in BKK gibt… Ok, aber das Somboon hat ja auch noch andere Dinge auf der Karte wie den Deep-Fried-Seabass (den hatte ich früher immer schräg gegenüber gegessen, aber da ist jetzt das Inka drin) mit Sweet-Fischsauce. Dazu gab es noch MorningGlory mit Chilli und Knoblauch. Beides sehr lecker und da wenig los war, kam das essen auch recht fix. Vielleicht muss ich doch mal wieder öfters hin.

When you search for restaurants in Bangkok, Sombun Sea Food comes up at least once.I visited twice.As for the food, it's a restaurant, you won't be disappointed!Be careful about adjusting the volume when ordering~~I feel this every time I go, the restaurants located in large Bangkok malls are not cool.Recommended to take the elderly with you!
We visited the original shop! It's S size, but it was enough for 2-3 people. It was very mellow and delicious.
This was my first visit to a highly recommended restaurant. The place was packed considerably that it was a Monday evening. The overall food options and tastes are true to the reputation. I found the services to be very quick and efficient. The restaurant needs to work on fixing the air conditioning as it gets warm at the back tables. I was pleased to see some vegetarian options as well. The place is iconic and a must visit if you love seafood.

Overall good service, except sometimes breakdown in communication. We thought waiter understood our request for an extra bowl but turned out either don't understand or forgot about the request. Food is nice, the signature dish fried curry crab is rather unique, but the sauce is not suitable to dip mantou (fried/steamed dough bread). Good for first timers to experiment and try the signature dish but if I go back again I will give it a miss. Not my favourite crab dish, still prefer the more conventional chilli crab, just because I like mantou. Other dishes that we tried, veg, stewed pork, chicken, all good. Nice atmosphere too. Modern, conducive for chitchat and comfortable. Will return to try other dishes.
A beautiful restaurant, to be honest, it was beautiful and tasteful, and 10 grains of bread were delicious. When you finish eating, ask for hand washing. If you eat with your hands, they serve you a plate with warm water and lemon inside. an experience. beautiful

I think it would be a bit disappointing if I went to Thailand and didn't go to Sombun.The main dish is Puppet Pong Curry.I've tried it with no shell and also with the peel, but I definitely like the taste better with the peel. No shell is comfortable, but a bit on the bland side.The party I went with said that they couldn't eat spices at all, but I really like tom yum goong here, so I ordered it every time I went.Morning Glory is, needless to say, delicious.It's best to order and eat together.This branch is located in Central Embassy, so I liked it better because it was less crowded and quieter than other branches.If you go next time, go to this branch ^^
Super popular seafood place, if you’re looking to place online reservations you’ll need to do it at least 24 hours in advance but we were able to get a walk-in table with no wait at 4.30pm. We were able to order without speaking any English by pointing at the times in the menu which had helpful English translations. All the food was super fresh and super spicy, but portions weren’t too big so we got to try a bunch of different things.The deep fried grouper was impressively crispy, and the oyster with egg was very fresh and delicious with the accompanying chilli. The raw marinated crab was delicious, but watch out for all the super spicy red chili seeds!

Many celebrities have been here, therefore their photos are publicized on the wall and inside a shelf to the public. Not only this place is very well-known among the Thais, but also to some Westerners and some Japanese (based on who I met during my last visit there). I myself am a Thai-speaking Indonesian, so yeah, definitely I will recommend this place to the people I know.Beside the amazing taste of the servings, but my attention suddenly attracted to a shelf on the other side of the room, which contains the miniatures of cartoon and/or fiction characters. For example like Hulk, Captain America, etc. They're also wishing to create the atmosphere where their attendants also fall in love with the miniatures. Nice idea.
Like the curry crab offer in different position. Eevn one or two person can order a small portion. If can't finish, the take away pack is sealed with a bag that sauces won't come out.
I'm regular customer of Somboon Seafood for many years, I very disappointed of the service and food standard that they provide now.Recently went to central embassy branch to have their signature curry and few other dishes, the crab taste like very normal and oily, I can say it's tasteless.Glass noodle very salty taste only , and for the oyster omelette also not the taste that we usually eat , oyster omelette this time they stir fry with bean sprout.The service I would say standard down , no wet tissue and napkin provided, when we eat crab,they use to provide a bowl or water to clean our hand but now all no more.This is the last time I have my dinner here.

This is absolutely a go to place for a sushi. This time it seems like the quality has dropped a little compared to before covid, but still, it is so satisfying eating their sushi.
