Witzig, eigentlich dachte ich ja das ich schon mindestens einen Beitrag zum MoC geschrieben hätte, da ich hier nun wohl schon 5-6 mal gewesen bin, dem ist aber wohl nicht so (ich hab aber hier mal noch ein paar Bilder aus den früheren besuchen mit aufgenommen). Also das MoC kommt eigentlich aus Sri Lanka und die Chefs von dort haben hier nur auch eine Location aufgemacht. Es gibt wie der Name wohl vermuten lässt Crab. Normalerweise nehme ich ja meistens die Variante mit Chili beim Crab und bei Shrimp die mit Pfeffer (Chili-Knoblauch finde ich nicht so gut auch wenn es das Personal immer empfiehlt). Dieses mal aber eine ganz andere Variante gewählt, Chilled mit Butter. Das muss man vorbestellen, der Crab wird dann gekocht und quasi Kalt serviert, dazu Butter. Hier hat man dann den reinen Crab Geschmack. Zwei Anmerkung hierzu. Der Crab schmeckt so auch super lecker, das Problem ist allerdings das er fast schon zu gut gekühlt ist, so dass die Butter fast schon fest wird nach mehrfachem eintunken (das Problem kenne ich auch von Vegas mit dem Chilled King-Crab). Zweitens dachte ich eigentlich dass sich das Fleisch gekühlt eher leichter auslösen lässt, das ist aber leider nicht der Fall. Es war auf jedenfall den Versuch wert, aber da ich eher kurzfristig agiere wird eine Wiederholung eher unwahrscheinlich. Das MoC war nach MammaKong in Singapore das zweitbeste Crab-Restaurant, leider gibt es das MammaKong nicht mehr :(.
We chose 3 small crabs, and all the crabs were extremely fresh. The ORIGINAL RECIPE PEPPER CRAB was thick and had a great pepper aroma but was completely flavorless. The OLIVE OIL GARLIC CHILLI CRAB had a lovely aroma of oil and a beautiful clear yellow color, with a great garlic scent and a mild salty taste. The CHILLI CRAB (MOC VERSION) was thick with a nice light color but was bland and spicier than it looked. The Garlic Prawns had a wonderful garlic aroma and a mild salty taste. The KADE BREAD was thick bread with nothing special. The service was very good, the restaurant was clean, and parking was on the street.
I was hesitant when my friends recommended as I had been to the original in Colombo and thought it overrated and overhyped. How nice to be so wrong! The Bangkok outlet is Outstanding. The clams in butter is superb as is the Crab in Olive oil and Garlic. Mix their fried rice in the leftover olive oil sauce and it's simply divine. Service is excellent. Highly recommended
I've eaten fresh crab in many countries, on several continents, and over several years, obviously, but this place is still the leader in knowing what kind of crab to use and what kind of sauce to combine it with, and then cook it to absolute and total perfection.Therefore being in Thailand at this time, I ordered a large Thai crab and had it prepared the Thai basil, chili peppers, garlic way, and it was one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth, and trust me, I've put a lot of good things in my mouth.The decor is gorgeous, the service is fantastic, and as I said, the ingredients are super fresh and super scrumptious. Order a side of vegetables for nutritional balance and their yummy bread to to scoop up the succulent sauce, then order a glass of wine, sit back, and have one of the best meals of your life. 👏🫰👏
We never miss out on dining at this restaurant when we are in Bangkok. Fabulous crabs - available in all sizes and many flavors. The clams here are one of the most delicious dishes to try. The restaurant is very conveniently located with a good ambience and very good service.
Had the chance to eat at ministry of crab in sri lanka and was looking forward to have the same service and excellent food here in bangkok!and guess what it was...my favourite dish is the clay pot prawn curry with the bread and you must try the coconut creme brulée!recommend 100%.great atmosphere ,excellent service and PERFECT food !!

Top notch quality crab.Though we are thai people who so expert in crab. But here is Superb quality of crab, fresh, and carefully select only the top quality crab.But you have to pay for the quality$$$$. Prepare to spend 5000thb/pax.
Compared to other places the crab and prawn is not that spectacular, the prices, however, are. Definitely one of the more expensive establishments. The value for money is not really given, even if the service is quite good.

One of the best Thai restaurant in Bangkok. Slightly pricey since it’s in a really nice neighbourhood (reasonable). Impressive fried prawn cakes, definitely not some random scruffy prawn cakes you had in other restaurants.I tried Cowslip flower stir fried with egg for the first time and I liked it.Would love to come back when I visit bangkok next time.
A crab-lover's heaven. There are several seasoning styles and each is good. The crabs are fresh and cooked to perfection. We also ordered a few prawns which were also delicious.
We choose to eat crab here as they don't serve pork, only seafood. And it was a good decision. The staff are helpful, friendly and can speak English. The ambiance is exclusive with nice decor. The prawns and crabs are huge and super fresh. We had a great time here. My advice please make a reservation. We were lucky because they still have one table empty for us.
Excellent sweet crab meat. Garlic in oil was heavenly. The appetizers were not very impressive but they were made of good quality ingredients. Service was excellent. Very attentive. We did not have to ask or wait for anything.
