Im ‚The Local‘ war ich jetzt auch schon länger nicht mehr (da es auch etwas weiter weg ist). Das Lokal ist sehr groß, es besteht aus mehreren Gebäuden und hat sowohl drinnen als auch draußen Plätze. Da ich nicht reserviert hatte musste ich ein Platz draußen nehmen, was ich sowieso wollte, da drinnen auch die Klima immer auf Hochtouren läuft. Hier gibt es Authentisches Thaifood welches auch mal richtig scharf sein kann (kein Farang Style). Bestellt hatte ich mir einen Crab Salat und ein Curry mit Spare-Ribs. Beides sehr lecker, vor allem die Vorspeise mit den Kräutern. Als Nachtisch gab es dann noch irgend einen undefinierbaren Glibber, welcher aber auch recht gut schmeckte. Als Getränk gab es einen Bluberrypea-Maracua Saft auch sehr lecker.
Michelin recommended this restaurant, and I will eat there again. This time I took the private room area, which was different from the other one last time.I ordered a different dish this time and tasted traditional delicacies from all over Thailand at once, which was really amazing.The restaurant also has an amazing menu, priced at 3,000 yuan. It looks like the photo, and includes traditional dishes from various places, which is great! I will eat this next time.The neighborhood is also very convenient, you can get to the MRT, there are many places for shopping and massage, the local, great restaurants.
The colors of the meals are beautiful. My favorite dishes are the crab curry, cold vegetable platter and stir-fried vegetables! The cold papaya grilled pork had no flavor, and the shrimp cakes had no shrimp flavor at all, which was the downfall of the meal. I ordered Thai milk and bergamot honey tea for drinks, which were super delicious! As far as sightseeing is concerned, it’s not a bad experience and the CP value is not very high😂
Picking up customers each time, entering, exiting, and parking is very difficult. When you back out, there is no one waiting to wave at you, risking accidents several times.
Our last dinner in Thailand was at a high-end Thai restaurant, so we decided to go to this restaurant.I had the best experience with a wonderful atmosphere and delicious food that was just as rumored.No matter which one you eat, you can't go wrong with the deliciousness.I was disappointed that the crabs were out of stock, perhaps due to the season, but everything was so delicious that I didn't think that mattered.The curry with steak was especially delicious.If you go, I think you should definitely order it.Thank you for the meal.
Now added to my favorite restaurant list in Bangkok!!! Love this place 🙂 excellent food, service and the ambiance is perfect. Doesn’t hurt that it’s recognized as a Michelin restaurant either 😉 Highly recommend to book in advance! I had a romantic dinner here with my partner and we had a lovely time dining outside. There’s some areas inside that are like museum exhibits which is quite interesting, I love the indoor/ outdoor traditional wood home concept and how there is choice of rice options (white or brown rice) as well as the fact that they source from sustainable local fisheries. What a lovely place! It looks more expensive than it really was.My first time there with friends and we had a very good meal. The drinks were really cute served in like a soup pot.And the food was very refined. Quite diff from the usualThe super large river prawns is the best. Super fresh and Perfectly cook. Not much more to add than what's been said extensively, it's an establishment and deserve their reputation as one of the best. The setting of the restaurant is beautiful, it's a sight in itself as every room is beautifully decorated and ambience is splendid.Every single dish we tried was impeccable, we have been travelling to Thailand for 20+ yrs and I would count this restaurant as one of the best. Appetizer platter comes with all the dishes you would want to taste and every single one of them was perfectly seasoned, cooked and plated. Ox tongue masmun curry was unique but delicious and highly recommend.Highly recommend for the food and service was again a standout, kudos to the team for maintaining both food and service at such level.
It’s my second time here! Yes, it’s pricey (as compared to other Thai restaurants) but the food here is flavorful and authentic. The appetizer platter is a MUST-TRY! Highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻Service-wise, they are a little delayed in their response time as the restaurant is very packed and there are many tables / private rooms.It is also recommended to book a table in advance or you can come around 8.45pm and it would easier to get a table.
One of the best restaurants in Bangkok! It’s a hidden gem.Don’t be deceived by the very beautiful interior design of the restaurant because the prices are very reasonable. You’d think it will be very expensive considering the location but it’s not.Everything we had was delicious especially the grilled pork and the pork BBQ. The sauce was also not very spicy which was good for my taste bud.Try their Traditional Thai Iced Tea and it’s really good! The mug used was cute.Service is excellent! They speak English and very helpful. They provided info about the menu which helped us decide what to have. We didn’t have to wait that long before the food could be served.There’s a parking within the vicinity of the restaurant so it’s convenient in case you are driving.Hey can get very busy so be sure to make a reservation well in advance to have a table at your own preferred time.
I chose this lovely place to have dinner with my visiting friends. The decor reveals appealing Thai cultural elements, and the private rooms look more attractive for dining. The foods are authentic and easily impress visitors. The service was good, but the staff were too busy to respond to a request proactively. I will return, but I will make reservations earlier to secure a nice spot or a private room.
This is one of the best Thai restaurants you can find in Bangkok. The food is beautiful and tasty, especially if you want to try a spicy food. The restaurant is decorated by items used in the past and you can hear Thai songs while having food. These makes the atmosphere of the restaurant great. Also, the staffs are very kind and professional.
The private dining rooms are elegantly decorated with some interesting historic Thai items.The service was good with little waiting between ordering and receiving my food. The gang Mussaman was good, but flavors were muted. A vegetable stir fry included some unique items such as garlic blossoms and lotus stems; well assembled and tasty. The mango sticky rice was delicious. Recommended for well-heeled but delicate stomachs.
Overall good meal, we loved the tom yum soup, it was just the right amount of creaminess and it’s not on the super spicy side. Green curry was fine too but the amount of chicken inside was really little.Sweet and sour pork stew and squid glass noodles was a bit of a miss for us. The flavours were quite unique and it is something we were not used too.However, the menu is quite extensive and we would visit again to try the other dishes. The service and ambience in the restaurant was great.
Wow, we had an amazing lunch here. This place is huge with outdoor and indoor seating with air conditioning.The food was delicious and the quality and presentation of the dishes were top notch. The workers are super friendly as well. We spent aroun 2500 baht here. Well worth it.
It's been years since I had been back here and I was surprised (and yet not for their quality) to see the accolades that flank the front doors. The charms of this age old establishment in a traditional Thai house only grows stronger amidst the skyscrapers sprouting all round in Bangkok.The dining hall was almost empty with only a few tables occupied. The service staff was excellent, attentive and helpful. When the drinks and food was served, it was clear the reasons why I fell in love with this restaurant many years ago. I'm not Thai but I think it's really good authentic local food. It seems that they had the privilege of seeing many kings in their history and dining here makes you feel also a tad bit royal. However the royal taste does not come with a royal price, really affordable.Again there are too many dishes so I'll share my personal Top 3 favorite1) Grilled beef with thick red curry2) Deep-fried Seabass with green peppercorn and kafir leaves3) Appetizer platter (good for 2)
