So, beim letzten Abendessen war ich schon wieder sehr unentschlossen. Heraus kam das Tachinomiya, hier hatte ich am letzten Wochenende schon einmal ein Bier getrunken und das was serviert wurde sah recht gut aus. Der Laden ist auch sehr ‘modern’. Es gibt kein Menü mehr, man scannt den QR-Code seines Tisches und sucht sich sein essen auf dem Mobile aus. Wenn man dann alles zusammen hat, drückt man auf bestellen und zahlt dann auch gleich. Ein paar Minuten später kommt dann das Essen. Bei mir gab es Ungar auf Reis und einen Lachs / Avocado Salat. Beides war nicht schlecht, aber jetzt auch nicht so toll das es gleich nach einer Wiederholung schreien würde 😉
As a Japanese food place, the food is average at best. But, the service is excellent! Very prompt in clearing plates. We wanted curry rice but they ran out of rice for their current batch so they asked us to change to udon noodles. Surprisingly, they offered us dessert as an "apology". Truly amazing! Will be back if I'm in the area. Price point is a bit high so take note of your budget.
Went on a Tuesday night almost closed to their last order at 10pm. Wanted to snack only so I had the truffle scallop carpaccio. The scallop slices are surprisingly fresh and not fishy. Wished I could have 2 plates of it! Also had their lemon toufu cake to end it off which was not too sweet and very affordable at $4.90. They do have quite alot to offer but I wasn't ready for a full meal so I'm looking forward to going back and try it again. Just felt its underrated on weekdays and overshadowed by the whole stretch of f&b because it is relatively a small joint. Price wise it's average. Some dishes seemed a little pricey while some seemed quite expensive. Hope they bring in more alcohol offers for people like me who pops by randomly for a light and short drink session.
Great place to chill and relax after a days work. Food was top notch and prepared with lots of care and finesse. Loved their Hamachi Sashimi,thick cut slices of really fresh yellowtail. Wonderfull Rice Bowl was great too,but with wagyu and foie gras inside,it was an expensive main indeed.The Missus lurved their edamame,which was fresh and tasty, and not to mention very addictive. Barachirashi bowl had a very decent assortment of seafood sashimi ingredients also,which was good value for money.Of all their dishes though,we really really liked their Deep Fried Shishamo. It was so expertly fried that it was crispy yet not hard at all,and the little fishbones didnt stick to the teeth but disintegrated very nicely upon biting.All their staff including the manager was very friendly and experts at reccomending the various dishes. Service was excellant amd above-par.All these are Hallmarks of a great izakaya,not just good,but great.. Will be back to try their other dishes,guaranteed.
Food standard is the same as the Kovan’s, and although these are the standard Izakaya staples but executed with care. My fav is the spicy edamame, so shiok to slurp the sauce off the pods. Nice place to chill with small plates and a beer!

So happy that we have finally got a great izakaya in the neighborhood! Every single thing on the menu tastes nice and fresh! The selection of sake to pair with your meal didn't disappoint! Friendly and knowledgeable staff are always another big plus!
You know you found a good izakaya when time whizz by at the bar counter. Yummy bites, quality sake.. 一番美味しい 😊 and importantly a great service crew who knows their stuff in sake/sake pairing.Sometimes (shhhh) if lucky u may get a special 'treat' from their secret stash
I have been a regular at their Kovan branch. This place has the same great service and even greater vibes. The food is really good! Sake selection is extensive, and sake pairings are on point, as usual. The in house sake sommelier, Krish, pairs not just food with sake, but sake with your soul. I will be back!
