Also für rein entschieden.
Popular in Johor, this seems to be the only branch in Singapore 🌞It's definitely a different level from the hawker Shashu noodles 🤩Yakiniku is thick but soft😋The taste is like an art~😭The atmosphere is also nice👌
Service was OK, responsive, though grouchy looking staff. Char siew was nicely charred, surface was caramelized, though the cuts of meat very fatty. Roast duck was ok. Volcano beancurd nicely done. Herbal soup was full of flavour. Overall the dishes were very heavily flavored, all overly salty and sauces very strong tasting. Drinks were all very sweet.
If you're going there for a single meal it's not worth it at all. No hot tea for one person, desert was not available, and the actual meal was bearly passing.
Amazing char siew. One can rarely find char siew of this standard in Singapore. The other plus point is that the noodles ; both texture and taste is really Malaysian style. Service staff can’t seem to handle the crowd but it was not chaotic. Overall good experience.
Still my favourite place for roast meat. Their char siew is to die for. Soup is delicious too and one pot is good enough for 4pax. Complimentary dessert, which they change now and then was yummy.
One of the best roast chicken/ roast duck/ cha siew noodles! They also serve a variety of other dishes. Quality is maintained because the Malaysian boss is on site to supervise and cook.Patrons are sometimes rewarded with a free home made dessert after their meal!
A toss of the dice brought us to Joo Chiat for dinner. Found this place You Kee XO, it has 4-5 other branches in JB. Ordered the claypot curry fish, hot plate tofu, roast duck, and herbal soup. I have high expectations of Malaysian food, and this place didn’t fail me. Overall food taste great, love the claypot curry and the pork and pork floss bits in the hot plate makes gave it a unique taste and texture. The sauce on the duck is yummy and duck is well roasted we cleaned the plate. A Friday evening we’ll spent. 👍
Ordered Volcano Curry Fish Head, boiled soup, roasted platter. Both roasted pork and char siew are nice but I am not used to it personally.Curry fish head, boiled soup, roast duck are something down my alley.Service: greeted by the boss, I think. Services are good. Will be back surely.
Very pleasant & polite service staff. Meat platter (the chilli is so good) & signature tofu were awesome - the tofu gravy goes so well with jasmine rice. The stir-fried vegetable (nai bai) was crunchy & nice. (Unsure if its just me … the roast duck was a little salty. If its less salty, it will be perfect). Their soup was sold out again. … To avoid disappointment, staff mentioned to call and make reservation.
Would return, would recommend.A corner establishment dedicated to roast meats, with fast service and ample patio like seating. Portions on lower end.Roast Pork - kind of a stingey cut, thin slices with barely enough crispy skin. It was tender and fatty and I wish they were more generous.BBQ pork/char Siew - delicious. Candy like stickiness, deep savoury sweet flavours. Wish there's more. Quite chewy and not like your traditional char siew.Duck - not much fat, quite lean and thin skin. Was cold. Very juicy. High quality but par for expectations.Overall we added the roast pork for $2.5 and feel like they were very skimpy on the portion. Worth the trip out here. $7-$15pp.
Arrived a little late and the soup of the day had finished. Will be sure to come back for that. The duck was tender but with good mouth feel. The cooked dishes are pretty standard but decent.
Have always loved going to their outlets in Malaysia and now I get to eat it in SG too!Always the best place to go for char Siew. their signature tofu and boiled soup Is a must order. Also tried their fish curry today - the fried tau kee skin and the fish was really fresh which made it extra yummy.Usually not a fan of yam but their yam ring was really nice as well 👍Highly recommend this place.
The roast meats are fantastic. Truly authentic. Roast pork has a good mix of fats that melts in your mouthThe 5 spices ngoh hiang was a pleasant surprise for meAnd to top off the meal, the traditional soup was the perfect way to complement the meal!!!!
Easily my fave spot to get my char siew fix. Their char siew is the best in my humble opinion. It's a balanced mix of lean and fattiness makes its super tender and succulent without it being overly dry or overly greasy. I can't really do justice with words or articulate it well but it's definitely worth going out of the way to visit You Kee XO!

Summary
Chinesisches Restaurant welches viel im Bereich BBQ anbietet. Wobei ich den Claypot besser fand.
