First of all I want to say thank you to the bellboy (Boris and friends) for their excellent service. Two thumbs up for you guys. Your service is beyond normal.Hotel is nice, clean, and has good facilities. Location I would say is not bad either. It is just a 900m walk to the main center. On the top of the hotel they have a bar which is also worth a visit. For you who drive a car, they provide private valet service. So you will just need to drop your car at the lobby and someone will park your car at the garage. And anytime when you need your car, someone from the hotel will get your car and bring it up in front of the lobby. For sure I would recommend this hotel for those of you who are planning to visit Vienna.
Our "SO Studio" room on the tenth floor was very nice, had a great view, a rainfall shower, a spacious living room and a Bose sound system. The location is also great, it's a three minute walk away from the Schwedenplatz underground station and maybe a fifteen minute walk from the city centre. My main point of criticism with this hotel is that they took forever to serve our breakfast, and we didn't even get the right items. The staff at breakfast could have been friendlier also. I will give this three stars for now, but this hotel definitely has the potential to deserve five stars and I will probably return just for the amazing rooms.
Great experience after all!The comfy rooms are great, well sized and fitted well for couple + kid. The room was clean and we'll decorated, amazing view from room and restaurant, the employees are very nice! But we were missing additional bad at the arrival.Besides that we got only 2 towels every day although occupation of 3, and every single day we had to ask them for additional towel and asked them to update the house keeping for the next day, unfortunately we had to call every day and wait up to an hour for a towel.Besides that everything was perfect.
We absolutely loved our stay in this hotel. Everything was lovely and clean. The service is great and very helpful. The location is very central. The rooms are a bit grayish but overall very clean and nice. Also the hotel has a very nice rooftop that has an astonishing view of the city. So even without staying in the hotel you can grab a cocktail or two at the rooftop bar.
We had the best time here. The staff were brilliantly attentive. Upon arrival, they noticed the date on my passport and sent me up a birthday cake which was so kind and thoughtful. Our room was comfortable, the views were amazing and breakfast was excellent. We will be coming back the next time we are travelling to Vienna without a shadow of a doubt.
Spa & gym were very nice almost no people in the morning, food was good. But staff was a little confusing about open times, I called 3 times and got 3 different answers. Website was not updated and my reservation was not saved even though I called 2 days before. Still very good experience, definitely recommend!
The rooms of the hotel are very good, the general decoration is also very good and the service is top notch. I recommend the hotel! On the other hand, we entrusted our Christmas lunch to the restaurant of the hotel So Vienna where we spend our stay in Vienna. What a disappointment! Except for the small soup as a starter which was very good, the rest of the food was not interesting, often too salty or too dry or even not good. Nothing to do with our meal of Friday evening which was delicious.Maybe it was another chef for the occasion...?Despite a very good service, I will not recommend this restaurant for Christmas dinner...
Service is wonder, very fast and attentive. Food is always on point. Having the view over the city is one of the best thing at So/Vienna.I would recommend it to everyone who loves see the city 360 degree by day or by night a stunning view.
The staff were so helpful and friendly. I had one of the all white rooms. It was bright and modern, yet had blackout draperies for sleeping. Apparently, there are all white, all gray, or all black rooms in this hotel. Most of the places I wanted to visit were within a 20-30 minute walk. Perhaps if I were on the inner side of the canal, it would have been a wee bit easier. But the overall conditions made up for any 5-10 minute additional walk. I felt very safe when walking alone. I would recommend this hotel!
The So/Vienna hotel is a really hip, chic and slick hotel just a stones throw from all of the action in Stephanplatz as well as an ideal location to the outer ring of the city which is helpful when wanting to visit the city’s sights. The rooms are really modern and designed to be both open plan if required and closed off if not. The amenities were great, especially all of the male and female specific items, and the washing amenities. The shower is really powerful (although there is a gap in the door which means the water leaks which is a little annoying, but nothing a cleverly placed towel can’t fix). The bed was comfortable, quite firm. The mini bar is included within the room and has things like snacks and soft drinks topped up daily which was useful. The bar at the top of the hotel is amazing - great music and vibes, and the views are incredible. The staff are really friendly, and although there were occasions that things we’d requested took a little bit of time to be delivered to the room - that was forgiven as the rest of the service was great - always attentive whenever walking in or out of the hotel, extending our check out time. I’d highly recommend staying here when visiting Vienna.
GREAT, SO Vienna was excellent! They have really friendly staff that gave me free soft toys and were all ways willing to help.when you eat breakfast you have a lovely view of the city.the location isn't to central but it is close to a few monumentsMust go
The breakfast in the rooftop restaurant is probably one of the best in the world. The Hyatt Mexico was already quite stunning but a step below the Sofitel Vienna. Even if you have not booked a room in the hotel if you have the chance to have a breakfast with this fabulous view and a first-in-class staff you will remember it your whole life.
