Jirakaan Restaurant (ร้านอาหารจิรกาล)

Das Jirakaan liegt etwas unscheinbar in einer kleinen Seitengasse (neben dem Det5). Ist mir beim vorbeilaufen einmal aufgefallen. Somit war es auch einmal Zeit dieses Restaurant in der Soi8 zu probieren. Es gab eine traditionelle Vorspeise in welche man diverse Zutaten in Betelblätter rollt und ein Lammcurry. Beides war geschmacklich sehr lecker, wobei das Lamm etwas hart war (das sollte eigentlich im Mund zerfallen). Zum trinken gab es noch einen frischen Guavesaft, auch sehr gut. Sicherlich noch einen weiteren Besuch wert, man braucht ja etwas Abwechslung 😉 Was auch noch toll ist, man kann draußen sitzen, der Bereich kann sogar überdacht werden. Also auch eine Klimaanlagen freie Alternative 😀

I made a reservation and went there. The staff is friendly and the inside of the restaurant is pretty. The food is also very delicious. If you go with a group of people, you can taste a variety of dishes in a course meal. Two people tried the course meal, but we took it out and ate it.

There was nothing I don't like about the restaurant. The food is amazing, authentic with creativity. I like all the salad and beef. Taste is out of ordinary. Restaurant is not packed with people, good place to enjoy your dinner.

Such an incredible experience. The ambience is quite magical; like taking a trip through time. Such beautiful decor that is sure to impress. More importantly, the menu carries a huge range of options, and by far, it's the best Thai food I've had in this city. Loved that they make their own cookies in-house with little clocks on them. Such attention to detail. We will definitely be going back.

Fancy Thai food at a cool location. Vibes of the place is really good and food is also good. They have interesting flavours like pineapple wrapped in beef and quail eggs.Really enjoyed the meal and ambience of the place!

Wow! Best dining experience in Bangkok so far! Really enjoyed the qual eggs and duck as well as totally surprised by the delicious shredded papaya!!

Highly recommended.The foods are amazing and fun.Would take my Thai & Non-Thai friends to this place for sure.My favorite dish is “ข้าวผัดปลาร้า”. I usually don’t like ปลาร้า but this place is the only exception.For dessert, “ขนมเปียกปูน” is amazing!!!! I’d go back to this place just for this dessert.Other things are great as well. Classic/ Vintage Thai decorations. The staffs were super helpful. The taste and experience are definitely worth the price. Easy to travel and they have parking lot.
