Hemingway’s

Nachdem es gestern ‘altgewohntes’ gab (Blechhütte), war es heute wieder an der Zeit für was neues, das Hemingway’s. Das Restaurant liegt quasi fast vor dem Mercury Hotel, wäre also auch eine gute Regenoption ;). Das Lokal bietet zwei Etagen und einen recht großen Außenbereich. Der Innenbereich ist nicht wirklich klimatisiert, das die Front nach außen komplett offen ist. Bestellt hatte ich Burrata, Lammhaxe und noch einen Pudding mit Eis. Die Burrata mit Tomaten hat es ein klein wenig an Cremigkeit vermissen lassen (war aber noch gut). Die Lammhaxe war super (low and slow), das Fleisch ist nur so zerfallen. Das ganze wurde auf Kartoffelpüree und Spinat angerichtet (sieht man nicht wirklich auf den Bildern). Der Nachtisch war auch sehr lecker (auch wenn ich lieber den Käsekuchen wollte, der leider schon ausverkauft war). Dazu gab es noch den Hauswein (Empfehlung, da Happy Hour war). Alles in allem also sehr gut und wenn mal wieder Lust auf was mehr heimatliches aufkommt.

The food is great; I love it there. The prices are reasonable, especially for women on ladies' night, as we receive four free drinks. Sitting outside is a cool idea, but it's very hard to flag down waiters. We have to raise our hands for at least three minutes before some of them finally notice us.

The best place for having the party and the food are great with a lovely price compare to alcohol but can’t complain it place at Sukumvit 11 you know what i mean 😉

I recently visited Hemingway on Suckhumvit 11 in Bangkok and I was extremely satisfied with my experience. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. I was particularly impressed with the manager, Sven, who was very friendly and helpful. He took the time to explain the menu and make sure that I got exactly what I wanted. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was very attentive. I would highly recommend Hemingway for anyone looking for a great dining experience. Thank you Sven and Hemingway for a wonderful evening!

I've been here about 4 times now and overall the service, drinks and food have been excellent. If they were overly expensive I would remember but I can't recall a bill that made me pause or ask questions.For the budget conscious, you won't find Thai street food prices here.The staff could be a bit more attentive, but are beyond eager and patient once you've gotten their attention. If you're going in the evening I would recommend reservations as it's super rare for Hemingway's to not be full.The atmosphere here can range from slightly loud but not obnoxious, to mellow. They do need better lighting as I've seen customers on several occasions using their phones flashlight to see the menu.As far as food goes, I think it would be hard to be disappointed with their selection, the excellent seasoning and overall fresh taste. I recently had their rabbit fettuccine which had been out of stock for about 2 months and it was absolute heaven (pictured).The rabbit was succulent, well seasoned and tasted fresh. The sauce was absolutely delicious.The chicken (large dish section) and steaks are also favorites and recommended. The chicken was probably one of, if not the best I've had in Bangkok so far.Highly recommended for a first or second date, date night, small groups (it's a staple scene here) or even a solo traveller looking to treat themselves after a long day or as a great way to enjoy the weekend.

Great food, great staff & service, great location. Confortable and very nicely designed antic style. The only critic I would think of would be the quality of the sound system as well as the music selection. Beside of that all was perfect.

We loved Hemingway’s. The food was excellent, so good I ordered the same dish twice in 24 hrs. The all day happy hour was an added bonus. Great for people watching as well. Seems to be an expat favourite

Pizza was nice and fresh . Dough base was good . Meal for two with 4 small bottles of beer approx 1500thb ...not cheap ...but not expensive also.Staff were friendly , toilets were clean . And has a lovely 1st floor decked terrace.

I've read some negative reviews about Hemingway's but seriously, I didn't experience any of that. The staff were friendly and on the ball. The food was amazing. Real Western food. Excellent quality and reasonably priced.
