Old German Beerhouse on 11

Ok, der Vollständigkeitshalber um die Soi11 komplett zu machen (außer der Fastfood-Ketten) bin ich auch noch ins Old German Beerhouse gegangen (ok, für ein Bier zum Fußball schauen war ich auch schon früher dort). Geordert habe ich die Lammhaxe in Rotweinsoße und ein Bier. Eigentlich wollte ich ja zuerst die Schweinshaxe ordern, aber das sah mir dann doch nach zu viel aus. Dann kommt wieder die Erwartungshaltung ins Spiel. Zum einen Rotweinsoße und zum anderen hatte ich das vor zwei Wochen gegenüber beim Hemingways. Dann kam die Lammhaxe und die Enttäuschung war schon groß, den von Rotweinsoße war da nicht mehr viel zu sehen (wie auf der Karte). Ok, das Fleisch war in Ordnung, aber der Geschmack des Rotweins hat halt vollends gefehlt (im Gegensatz zu der beim Nachbarn). Also hingehen würde ich da glaube ich nur nochmal (außer zum Fußball schauen) für die Currywurst mit Pommes 😀

Never before have I had cooked matjes herring. They were awfull. Not sure why they were cooked. Do they cook the smoked salmon. I think a German bar should know better.The sweet and sour my partner had however gets 10 out of 10.

Watched a football match yesterday! Very nice chilling place to hangout with your friends and family and the food portions are huge!!! I forgot to take pictures of how huge these portions are! Anyway if you are looking for a good pub to hangout with your friends and watch games, this is it!

Best German menu in Bangkok with typical dishes an beers. Away inside Soi 11, not too noisy, friendly staff. For those missing a genuine taste of Europe. A bit pricey though.

I visited several times in 2020 and really liked this restaurant. Both the service and food were at the same level.As soon as I managed to arrive in Bangkok, I immediately decided to visit this place again. Alas, this is a disappointment. There is practically zero service. They specifically waited until they noticed an empty beer glass, but they didn’t notice it. The staff smokes, walks around the restaurant, communicates with each other, but does not notice the customers at the tables at all.I ordered boiled sausages. One was sour. It seemed that it was clearly no longer fresh. The Hungarian goulash soup was also disappointing. No spices at all, and not at all like Hungarian goulash. Just stewed potatoes with beef.I won't go again and won't recommend it to others.

Quaint German pub along Sukhumvit Soi 11. It's been around for quite a while, and is one of the places we would drop by for breakfast. In the morning, it's quiet, and the staff is friendly. Today, I noticed at least 4 TV screens around the pub, so I can imagine how crowded it will get at night.The American breakfast is usually quite good, except my scrambled eggs today are quite salty. Otherwise all is good.

Nice location. The noodles were good but be mindful if you don’t like spicy food because it has a big kick to it. The breaded pork was good and so was the smoked beef sausage. The croquettes (potatoes), weren’t that good, it’s pretty much fried mashed potatoes.

I enjoyed a delicious dinner at the aold German Beerhouse on Soi 11. I lived in Germany for several years so I had to order the Yager Schnitzel. I also tried the papaya salad and it was spicy good. The beer selection was also pretty spectacular. Overall great experience.

Pretty good food. Staff are pretty good as well. It’s a bit pricey. But my dish was fine and in my opinion worth to visit.

Great burger at Old German Beerhouse on Soi 11 Bangkok.I came her to try their schnitzel but ended up going for a burger instead. Very tasty with good quality beef patty, crispy bacon, caramalised onions, tomato, lettuce, pickles and 2 slices of Gouda cheese. Yummy! Had a nice vanilla milkshake to go with the burger.They have free WiFi internet. Password is displayed on the table so easy to connect.

2 bars, almost the same name, quite close to each other.Massive food menu.Large venue. Lot's of space.A bit pricey for the quality you get.They have one million wind fans on the ceiling so there is always a breeze.Opens up at 8am for breakfast and stays open till late.Open bar with street view. Very nice.Some seats have power extension.Clean toilets and for the lovers, regularly German music.
