Definitiv keine Wiederholung wert 🤷♂️
While we were in Thailand, we had to check Mark Wein's restaurant, PhedMark. Unfortunately we couldn't meet him because he was traveling for food. (He left a note). 😊 There was a long line when we got there and it was hard to find a seat. The menu is simple, you pick your protein (chicken, squid, beef, and many more) and it comes with rice and duck egg. Interesting combination but it was delicious!
By the time I arrived at the store around 11:30, it was already full. It's like ordering first inside the store and then waiting outside until your number is called. It was extremely hot and humid outside.I waited outside for about 45 minutes before being called. The taste is usually delicious. It's not so-called "tsuyudaku", but it feels like it's flaky. You can choose the spiciness and type of meat. The ordering process was easy to understand even for Japanese people. The calls were easy to understand and easy to use.
I understand that the restaurant name is Ped Mak means very spicy , I am thai. I ordered Phed Noi mak , it should not be very spicy , it shoild be a little spicy and tasty . But the Ka prao here is way too spicy for the menu said Phed Noi Mak. I wish the restaurant will improve this. This is mean you cooked not match with the meaning. I feel i was cheated about spiciness. For thai people , sometime we enjoy a little spicy, Phed Noi mak, thats why we ordered Phed noi mak ( little little spicy) But come out super spicy . It sad.
Super average... I don't understand why there are so many people queuing up.I order pork one with no spicy, the only favor is salty. And I cannot understand why people are willing to waste time on it.
If you are looking for something that is super spicy, this is a place to go!! Tried the level 2 and level 3 spicy (level 2 pork, level 3 beef) and I will recommend level 2 if you want to have a taste of the spice but not faint from it! Added egg to get two duck eggs and it was really worth it!There is a waiting time as the place is really small but it is totally worth it! While waiting, you can head to the coffee place next door(crazy about) that serves really good coffee.
I had the basil chicken rice, less spicy level. Sorry, I would say the overall taste of this dish is just average, I can get a better one elsewhere. For me, the highlight of this dish was the fried duck egg. Can't really taste the basil aroma.. I think the 7-e Basil chicken rice taste better. Sorry, it is just my own taste preferences
You haven’t visit Bangkok if you haven’t try this place. Very popular restaurant with long queue almost everyday. Look at that fried egg yolk and you can understand why. They specialise in one dish only - stir fry basil rice.Taste is really good but is very spicy too! You get to choose your level of spiciness from 1 to 5. Recommend you to add an extra egg if you choose spicier levels.
Arrived 10 mins before opening. It took about 20-30 minutes for our food to be served. Interesting idea of allowing people to choose their preferred spicy level. Like that duck eggs are used for that extra richness. Overall, the basil rice is nice but I wouldn’t say that it’s worth the queue.
This place is amazing and super spicy! We got a level 4 and it was really spicy and flavorful. If you only like a little spice, I recommend level 2 but if you could handle some heat, level 4 should do the trick or go all out with the level 5. Was lucky enough to get my order on Grab but usually we go in person. This is my favorite spicy basil spot to go to.
