Sushi Mori

Das Mori war eine ‘Notlösung’. Eigentlich wollte ich ja Dim Sum essen gehen im Gaysorn, aber das Lokal der Wahl hatte abends kein Dim Sum! Dann war ich aber zu Faul um ins Ding Tai Fung im Central-World zu laufen und bin auf dem Weg dorthin am Mori stehen geblieben und nach kurzen Online-Check dann auch rein. Es war nicht viel los aber die Karte sah recht vielversprechend aus. Bestellt hatte ich zwei Rollen (Spider und Unagi), sowie crispy Salmon-Skin, roasted Stingray-Fin und das Salmon-Ponzu-Zap. Die Unagi-Rolle war super. Die frittierte Lachshaut war sehr crispy und kann locker als Ersatz für die Variante vom Schwein mithalten. Der Lachssalat mit spicy Ponzu war auch lecker. Überrascht hat mich die Stingray-Fin, auch lecker, wenn ich das aber auch ganz anders erwartet hätte. Einzig die Spider-Rolle konnte nicht ganz mithalten. Der Softshell-Crab war zu fettig und der Brösel hat doch auch den Geschmack etwas zu sehr übertüncht. Alles in allem aber doch eine sehr gute ‘Notlösung’.

We wandered arround the city to find some good japenese sushi and we stumbled upon this place. The food was tasty and the service was great. The highlights were the Super Treasure Box and the super Toro Sushi set. The vibe is cozy as well!

Simply can’t relate to all the good ratings, we got blinded by this and went with expectations. Sushi was ok quality and mediocre in presentation and taste (some pieces didn’t feel right). BUT 6.000 Baht for a normal Dinner for 2 person; for sitting on old fake leather and average sushi is simply too much. Service was as well without any joy. You can find similar Sushi in Bangkok (in other Malls) for less than half of this price.

Amazing range of typical and unique sushi and a fair price. The wagyu carpaccio with crispy and normal onions, and the dobin mushi teapot soup is especially noteworthy!

This is my third time here.Cozy ambience and friendly services. Need reservation in advance if your group is big.Having private are for a small group party . High quality ingredients and keen Japanese chefs. Really, really good taste. My lovely recipe is salmon sushi. Magnificent Japanese rice. Affordable price.Wonderful experience again lately after new year 2023.
