absolutely amazing start to finish. every dish is so well thought out and balanced. perfect sized portions.service is impeccable. your every need is anticipated and serviced.me and by partner both come from a fine dining hospitality background and everything met all of our expectations and exceeded them.one quick side note: i really am not a fan of spicy food at all and while the dishes were spicy it was truely so balanced and needed in all dishes that even someone like me that doesn’t like it will thoroughly enjoy it.thank you so much Canvas

We had the 20 course menu and all of them weren't good.We left hungry!!!Way way below my expectations. It's a shame Michelin give a star to this lame food. And the price is above 10000 per one, even if it would cost like street food I prefer street food.

I recently dined at this restaurant and I have to say, I was quite disappointed. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful, but unfortunately, the taste does not match the aesthetics. The flavors were all over the place and not well-balanced, making for a confusing and unenjoyable meal. It felt like the chef was trying too hard to impress, resulting in a lack of cohesion in the dishes. I won't be returning, as the taste of the food is the most important factor for me, and this restaurant just doesn't deliver on that front.

We walked into Canvas by chance and we were not disappointed. The dishes follow one another in harmony, leaving no detail to chance. They create the perfect union between flavors and their delicious wines. In terms of atmosphere, the restaurant is not helped by its clientele who are more concerned with Netflix and photoshoots than with what is happening on their plates. But if you know how to ignore this scandalous mob of poorly educated rich people, you can let yourself be carried away by a very judicious choice of jazz funk music that we love. The warm glow of perfectly designed lighting and the right temperature of the room perfect the picture and we are won over.

Innovative and fun cuisine, where food and art blend. Casual-elegant restaurant, beautiful open kitchen that allows you to observe the preparation of the dishes. The dishes have many different ingredients, so I recommend trying them separately before putting them together, otherwise in some cases it becomes difficult to grasp the distinctive flavor. Attentive service, small wine list that can certainly be expanded.

Be prepared for a long dinner service. The pieces and portions are so small, you lose the texture and enjoyment of the original ingredients. Some pieces are burnt and the food is often overpowered by the spices and herbs, and it’s more like a sauce tasting menu, where everything becomes indifferent after awhile - the chefs are all drawing dots on plates rather than cooking in the open kitchen. It’s hard to wrap my head around the wine pairing either, it did not do the trick to me as I didn’t find the wine complementary to the dishes - when the first few glasses were all white and suddenly a glass of red was served with vegetable skewers. After two hours of service, my partner and I became hungry.

Everything was 10/10 for me except the food. After a few dishes, we got sick of the sauce. It felt the same for most of the dishes. All overall, it was a really good experience.

Wonderful and talented chef. He deserves the Michelin star if not more. The concept and flavors were insane. Gorgeous plating, amazing textures and visually stunning.

Artful tasting menu. Complex taste. Visually please to the eyes and bursting of flavor in mouth. Amazing service and cozy vibe.

Nice decoration but the food not worth trying. Each portion is tiny and after eating 2 hours later we felt hungry again. The waiter looked down at me as I carried a plastic bag (with clothes inside intended to drop off at a laundry nearby after eating). I suspect that they paid to get the Michelin star.

Had a seating of the 22 course tasting menu for 6000++ a head. The theme of this establishment focuses on the diversity of Thai herbs and ingredients. I do appreciate the innovation and thoughts put into the presentation of each dish however the complexity of taste was overwhelming. I was unable to capture the focal point of each dish as frankly I was searching for a distinct taste. The wine pairing could not elevate nor coexist with the dishes that was paired and really lack note. The one dish that was memorable was the roasted duck, texture was perfect with a hint of smokiness. The service and decor was on point, the chefs came by to explain every dish. Hopefully the next menu changes will be made.

Went there to celebrate my partner's birthday.Pros - every single dish was like a piece of art to look at. The waiters were patient and polite, and were happy to engage if I had questions about the ingredients etc. We got stuck in traffic (Bangkok roads sigh!) and called ahead, they were kind enough to wait for us well past the booking time. I liked the format, lets you experience a very wide range of ingredients and flavours in one meal. I also appreciated the fact that all the ingredients were locally sourced.Cons - some of the dishes seemed almost confused, but maybe that was the intention? Often there would be many different spices/herbs used but one would dominate so you wouldn't get the notes of the others - not even as aftertastes. My partner found a few dishes leaning too creamy/milky where a drier texture might have let us enjoy things better. The chef was focused on one of the patrons the whole time - not really a con but it seemed a bit strange that you wouldn't walk around.I'd still go back next time, it will be interesting to see how the menu changes in a year's time!

This restaurant may be not for everyone, but if you think you will enjoy it here, I’m sure it will surpass expectations. The flavour palate behind some of the most visually inventive dishes matches the aesthetic. Overall on the slightly sweeter side but some incredible flavour combinations, thank you so much for a great evening!

Incredible dishes. The service was great until the very last moment… they didn’t show us to the door like other fine restaurants did as a courtesy. The dining experience ended after they collected the bill instead of a fond farewell.

We had the MOST incredible dinner here! 22 courses, none missed the mark. Complex flavours all from locally sourced ingredients. A plus that the dishes were paired with beautiful abstract paintings too (painted by the chef himself!) It was an experience not to be missed.

Last night, I was impressed by Chef Sanders and his team for a truly memorable dining experience. Each of the 22-course meal was turned into a work of art and delicious at each course. Truly deserving of its Michelin star.

Let’s just say that you have to really go and feel the whole experience for yourself. The immersion of exquisite, rare & exotic… all married with the most creative and beautifully tasteful presentations.Had the 22 course with my friend, i think we were telling tales and imagining a whole story out of every dish,I would recommend that you come hungry! The crew or shall i say the artists at the performance where incredible,I had never been in a kitchen few cm away with only the sound of the guests voices and the modernist very tasteful playlist resonantly in the background.Very well trained people and kind.Your are not there for the status, you are there in a place you will remember for it’s expertise and artform overall!I’m very impressed by Mr Sanders being so young and feel very inspired in all the ways,Feel very lucky and thankful for being a guest in his house.Greetings from Oslo!

Walked in and after I was looked up and down they suggested another restaurant of theirs; not the quality I was seeking. I have an brand new athletic shirt covering all of my chest, just no sleeves. Golf shorts and new white tennis shoes (it is 37 degrees today). Was more than willing to pay for a cocktail and appetizer but was not-so-subtly asked to go to another restaurant. Pretentious. My favorite high-end restaurants would never do this unless they had a clear dress code; this place did not 🙃. The place was almost empty. I guess they are doing ok 🤔.

A real unique experience! Delicious at every course and it was wonderful to learn that 99% uses all local ingredients. Perfect to sit at the bar so you can watch the team at work preparing each dish like a work of art. Also great service for the team

Chef Sanders is a Modern Impressionist; an artist who holds beauty as his highest pursuit. Each dish seeks perfection, and the entire dining experience culminates in something quite close to that. His use of both traditional and obscure Thai ingredients to create novel experiences is unique and inspiring. This restaurant is for those who like to be guided through a highly intentional journey, and delivered unto something they never would have had otherwise. The wine pairing was also excellent. Thank you, Chef.

A truly outstanding experience and one of the very best meals I've ever had. I had the nine course tasting menu with wine pairing and it was perfection from beginning to end. Although it is obviously not traditionally Thai cuisine, it truly sticks to its principle of balancing sweet, salty, spicy and sour, as well as textures. Each course is perfectly crafted, an utter delight both for the eye and the palate. The wine selection was spot on, a perfect match to the dishes. The service was lovely, prompt and managed to be both friendly and unobtrusive. Very highly recommended and one of the top reasons I can't wait to return to Bangkok.
